Abstract

This paper deals with applying of decay heat conservative values in simulation of transient processes for VVER with use of point kinetics model of code KORSAR/GP. The main purpose is development of new method of decay heat applying and using it in simulation of transients.
New method of delay heat conservative values applying is presented in this paper. The main feature of new method is change of point kinetics model parameters. This change is performed in order to make calculated decay power equal to required by user in case of instant nullification of fission source. Application of new method makes it possible to change decay heat curve in consideration of specific transient.
Some calculations of transients were performed with use of suggesting method. Analysis of new method influence on calculation results and discussion about method appropriateness for transient simulations for VVER are presented. Significant work result is extension of code functions allowed for user.
