Центр исследований топливного цикла FCC включает Европейский учебный быстрый реактор ELECTRA мощностью 0,5 МВт с топливом (Pu, Zr)N, охлаждаемый жидким свинцом в режиме естественной циркуляции, установки по выделению отработавшего и по изготовлению свежего топлива. Комплекс будет использоваться в учебных целях применительно к реакторам MYRRHA и ALFRED. Исследования динамики быстрых реакторов и технологии топливного цикла можно проводить по новейшим методикам. В статье обсуждаются технические решения, а также вопросы выбора топливных и конструкционных материалов для реактора ELECTRA.
