Abstract

In the present work the new method of total delayed neutron yield determination on the basis of measurement of delayed neutron group parameters is proposed. Conclusive advantage of the present method is that for determination of the total delayed neutron yields it is necessary to measure only relative abundances and group periods of delayed neutrons. Within the framework of the new approach the information on primary neutrons flux is not required. The energy dependence of absolute efficiency of the neutron detector is excluded from consideration; as for determination of the total delayed neutron yield it is necessary to measure only relative delayed neutron characteristics. Besides experimental set-up becomes simpler, namely there is no fission chamber.
