Abstract

The present paperconsiders the question of the connection of structural and thermodynamic properties of liquid metals. The overview of data on the typical dimensions of clusters and the volume of the disordered zones near the melting point of different metals presents. Experimental data on the measurement of physical properties (sound speed, electrical resistivity, heat capacity) of liquid lead at a temperature range of 550-2000 K and thea activity factor of oxygen in the lead at temperatures of 1070-1200 K. It is shown that the physical properties of lead and the first-order interaction parameter of oxygen in the lead have the feature at a temperature of about ~ 1300 K. It is shown that the temperature dependence of the concentration of reactive oxygen intermediate in lead, resulting from the interaction of oxygen with each other, changes the character and starts to fall sharply at temperatures above ~ 1300 K.
