Abstract

A model of a liquid laser with nuclear-optical pumping is constructed. In the framework this model it is possible to analyze the laser operation in relation to different parameters of the installation, the pump pulse and the medium composition of converter and of laser elements. Lasing characteristics were calculated for the solution of POCl3-SnCl4-Dy3++235UO22+ as the converter and the solution of POCl3-SnCl4-Nd3+ as the medium of the laser active element. It follows from the calculations that the effect of lasing in these media can be observed employing the neutron pump of the BARS-6 reactor.
