Abstract

Aerosol filters should be used for keeping the gas radioactivity in the gas circuit of reactor facility with HLMC not exceeding the operating limits as well as for the system normal operation protection from interaction of aerosol particles of lead coolant and products of its corrosion with construction steels. Two phases of gas purification from aerosols of heavy liquid metal impurities are needed to provide the required design characteristics: preliminary and high-efficiency purification. Preliminary high-temperature filter is placed on a “hot” side of gas circuit and should operate at t=420-550°C temperature providing the gas medium purification E=80% from large aerosol particles of d≥5mkm diameter. To achieve these parameters a needled fabric made of heat-resistance steel EP302-Sh fiber is proposed as filtering material. High-efficiency low-temperature filter is placed in cool part of reactor and should work at t=30°C temperature providing the gas circuit purification efficiency E=99.95% from fine aerosol particles of d=0.3mkm diameter (SS P 51251-99). High-efficient fiber paper is proposed as filtering material. Results of selection and substantiation of filtering materials and experimental research of purification efficiency from aerosols and aerodynamic resistance are presented.
