Abstract

The scheme of combined cancer radiotherapy based on the nuclide 9Be irradiated by γ-rays of radionuclide source is considered in given work. As a result of photonuclear reaction 9Be two α-particles and neutron are formed allowing to say on the combined action of the three types of radiation on cancer cells. The benefits and challenges of a new type of drug for radiology are discussed.
