Abstract

The main results of research in the Department of NPP Safety in the field of thermal physics of nuclear reactors in the last period of time: integratedexperimental, computational and theoretical research in support of the design solutions and safety of nuclear power plants with fast reactors of the new generation with sodium and heavy liquid metal coolants; improve the efficiency and safety of existing and future nuclear power plants with water-cooled reactors; development and validation of computer codes; scientific management of commissioning work atmodule number 4 of Beloyarskaya NPP with BN-800 reactor. The results of search exploration in support of projects of innovative nuclear power units, cooled by water at supercriticalpressure and by high-temperature sodium coolant, etc. The main area of research in Department will be nuclear energy. An important part of the work can be use of knowledge obtained in this area for the development of advanced technologies of the XXI century in non-nuclear industries.
