Abstract

The scientific and technical conference “Thermophysics of New Generation Reactors” was held from April 16 to 19 at the A.I. Leypunsky Institute of Physics and Power Engineering. The conference was attended by 174 scientists and specialists from 23 organizations and enterprises of the Rosatom State Corporation, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Russian Academy of Sciences and other departments of the Russian Federation. The topic of the conference reflects the most pressing scientific and technical issues of substantiating technological, design solutions and the safety of nuclear power plants operating and being designed in our country and in the world for nuclear power plants, the fleet and space using thermal and fast neutrons, including thermonuclear plants. The collection of abstracts of reports includes the results of fundamental, search engines and applied experimental and theoretical calculations in the field of hydrodynamics, heat and mass transfer in various media, as well as physical chemistry and technology of various liquid metal coolants (Na, Na-K, Pb, Pb-Bi), as well as the use of the technologies under consideration in non-nuclear areas of the Russian economy. A significant number of reports are devoted to the results of the development and validation of calculation models, thermophysical codes, their verification and data from numerical modeling of hydrodynamics and heat and mass transfer in nominal and emergency modes to justify the safety of nuclear power plants, the results of the development and testing of sensors, control systems and equipment for reactor plants. Suggestions for further research are formulated.
