Abstract

The yield and the energy spectrum of neutrons from the Reaction 7Li(p,n)7Be, close to the threshold were simulated by Monte Carlo method. The initial proton beam spread and the thermal motion of Li atoms in the target as well as the ionization loss fluctuations (in Vavilov’s approximation) were considered. The sources of the discrepancies between the 7Li(p,n)7Be, reaction cross-section data and the inverse 7Li(p,n)7Be, ones are discussed.
