Abstract
This work is devoted to the description of a new, improved version of constant’s support system for neutron-physical calculations of fast reactors (RBN) and closed fuel cycle based on updated domestic libraries of files of estimated neutron data of ROSFOND and multi-group constants of BNAB-RF. To prepare constants for RBN calculations, an improved software package CONSYST/BNAB-RF was developed, accompanying the developed databases. To assess the accuracy of the obtained calculation results, an improved system of programs and archives of INDECS was developed, providing a guaranteed level of estimated uncertainties due to improving the methodological base, using the results of modern micro- and macro- experiments.
New data became available as a result of work of the international scientific groups of IAEA and NEA of OECD (within the international JEFF and CIELO projects, and activity of the working groups of WPEC). New data significantly affect calculation results. Our estimates show that calculation results of k-eff of plutonium systems with use of the obtained new data can vary from 0.5 to 1 %.
In the work results of verification/validation of the advanced version of constant’s providing system based on ROSFOND and BNAB-RF, by comparative calculations of numerous models of various configurations of critical benchmark experiments with uranium and plutonium fuel, are presented. The calculations are executed with use as the domestic experiments, fulfilled at BFS stands, so the foreign ones, executed at ZPR and ZPPR stands, but also with use experiments on reactor installations.
The improved version is a new generation constant’s support system and should replace the BNAB-93 constant’s system used today, the format of which was developed in 1990, and practical use began in the early 2000.
