Abstract

Due to the design features of high-power fast neutron reactors, data on dynamic processes inside the core obtained using modern neutron flux monitoring tools are very limited. Monitoring the core state is one of the priority tasks when using existing and creating new fast neutron reactors. To solve this problem, a set of calculations was carried out for normal operation modes and in violation of normal operation when moving control rods. The collected data on neutron flux disturbances, positions of control rods, flow rates through loops and through the core, and readings of above-zone thermocouples were combined into a single database. Based on the analysis of the obtained database, a method for processing signals from in-reactor control sensors was proposed to control the energy distribution in the normal and ubnormal modes associated with the movement of control rods. This method is based on the readings of above-zone thermocouples. These readings are passed through the correction blocks, that take into account the inertia of the fuel rod and thermocouple. The research results showed that the developed method allows to restore relative changes in the relative energy field in the core. Also, this technique makes it possible to ensure a controlled state of the core.
